I wanted to try the Ukiyo-e/woodblock print style again, i really like this style, so i think i will continue to do it.

Why Haku is so feminine/his relationship with Zabuza
Ok, so i just took a course on pre-modern Japanese literature.
We read a few stories by Ihara Saikaku, which really made me consider Haku and Zabuza's relationship.
In Saikaku stories we read, each one was about a samurai and his male attendant, and their love story. I did extra research, and discovered that this type of homosexual relationship was not considered strange at all back then, and infact was even considered high class/elite, and was expected of samurai.
Why? Who knows. Some say that back then they regarded love for your fellow man above that of women (Japan was uber sexist back then.) Also, sources say that the relationship between samurai and his lower-ranking attendant mirrored their societal status.
How does this relate to Haku? I thought that Kishimoto might be applying the same idea that Saikaku presents in his work. While i understand that Kishimoto's characters are ninja, and Saikaku's are samurai, the concept behind it may be the same.
just thought i would share that with you. If it doesn't make sense, its cuz its 4:30 AM here.

Vision Originality Technique Impact...Wow. I can honestly see almost nothing wrong with this picture! Well done!! There are a few things out of place...
First, the feet- they're really good but you've made the ankle a little too high. Also, the snow is a little distracting from the main focus of the picture (being Haku of course! XD) The background is really beautiful and you've made it look like a real japanese traditional painting. You may also need to raise the belt- scarf thing a little bit- it makes him look a little thin and too tall. But overall, this peace is outstanding, and I love it! Keep up with the good work.
